Whether referred from your dentist or self-referred, we’ll ask you to complete a registration form with details about your medical history, medications, and allergies. If needed, we’ll take diagnostic images (X-Rays or CT scans) to assist in planning your treatment.
Your oral surgeon will perform a thorough visual examination of your mouth, jaw, and facial structures to assess your oral and maxillofacial health. This includes evaluating both hard and soft tissues to determine the most appropriate course of action for your treatment.
After reviewing your diagnosis, your oral surgeon will discuss treatment options and answer any questions you may have. You’ll go over the procedure, recovery expectations, and sedation options. Once you’ve agreed on a plan, a consent form will be provided for you to sign. Our treatment coordinator will then discuss the financial details, including your insurance coverage, and help schedule your procedure. Pre-op instructions will be given, along with time to ask any final questions.
Once your treatment plan is finalized, we’ll schedule your procedure. On the day of your surgery, our team will ensure you’re comfortable and fully prepared for the procedure. Depending on your treatment, we will review any final pre-op instructions, ensure you understand the steps of the surgery, and provide you with post-op care guidelines to follow for optimal recovery.
