Dr. Kim earned his dental degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, followed by his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed a General Surgery Internship and Residency Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Furthering his expertise, he pursued fellowships in Oral, Head, and Neck Oncologic Surgery, as well as Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the John Peter Smith Health Network. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas – Dallas.
Currently, Dr. Kim serves as the Director of Research in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the John Peter Smith Health Network. He is also the Vice Division Director of Maxillofacial Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery and Co-Fellowship Director of Oral, Head, and Neck Oncology, and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Kim has delivered lectures nationally and internationally and has authored numerous manuscripts in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery. Additionally, he has contributed to several book chapters in his field.
Since 2017, Dr. Kim has been practicing in Fort Worth with the prestigious Facial Oral Surgery Associates and is excited to extend his expertise to the community of Cleburne. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children, mentoring future surgeons, and exploring new restaurants.
