Dr. Raymond P. Shupak is a board-certified, dual fellowship-trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His clinical interests include Adult and Pediatric Maxillofacial Pathology and Reconstruction, Facial Trauma, Corrective Jaw (Orthognathic) Surgery, and the Surgical Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He treats both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Shupak is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He earned his doctoral degrees from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. In addition, he received a master’s degree in bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shupak completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, along with an internship in general surgery.
Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. He then pursued an additional fellowship in Oral, Head, and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at John Peter Smith Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Shupak currently practices in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at John Peter Smith Health Network, where he treats patients with complex maxillofacial conditions. He has held multiple faculty appointments and has dedicated his career to training and mentoring future surgeons. He has authored and contributed to over thirty peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the field and has lectured nationally on a range of topics in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
In his free time, Dr. Shupak enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, and exploring new cuisines.
